Thursday, Feb 25 ~ QUEENSTOWN!

The drive from Lake Tekapo to Queenstown took about 3 hours, and it was THE MOST GORGEOUS drive!  Now we are really getting into the beauty of this country.

When Lake Pukaki came into view, it took our breath away ...

Due to the glaciers, the color of the water is a spectacular turquoise.  Of course pictures are NEVER as good as the real thing ...

About 20 minutes from arriving in Queenstown, we passed THE ORIGINAL BUNGY BRIDGE!  Oh good Lord it looks scary, and I'm afraid I might be facing my fear, right along with Dennis.  IF we do it, Sunday will be the day.

We had a slight hiccup when we got to our Airbnb home ... the house cleaner became ill and our place wasn't cleaned yet.  We reached the owner and of course she took care of it, but it delayed our arrival.  So we decided to use the time to shop in Dennis' new favorite grocery store and stock up for the next few days.  Are you surprised to see him here?

Our "home" is absolutely stunning.  CHECK OUT THIS VIEW!!

It is a two level "upside down shoe box", as the owner calls it.  There is a balcony on each level with this unobstructed view.  AND a fireplace!

We were actually very grateful that it was raining .... it was a cozy evening doing Queenstown research, posting to the blog, and just watching the clouds and weather roll on by.

I am in Heaven ... and yes ... this is my new fleece!

Feeling like The Queen of Queenstown
