Here's my first "whack" at doing a blog post. Very positive help from Diana... thank you. Titles and other cute stuff probably not perfect in this post but I just wanted to share some FUN and WACKY stuff from New Zealand.
Really cool that you can fill your own big bottle with local beers
There are CRAZY campervans roaming ALL OVER New Zealand
The campervans say the WEIRDEST stuff
EVERYWHERE we visited there were NO VACANCY signs
SOLD OUT
YEP... another NO VACANCY
NO VACANCY at the motel we stayed in Te Anau
NO VACANCY at the motel we stayed in Wanaka
EVERY travel agent said we needed to pre-book ALL of our lodging or risk NOT having a place to stay! Sure glad we took their advice and made a reservation for EVERY night of our time on this 32 day trip!
We LOVE the Kiwi's sense of humor
The roads in New Zealand are beautiful and lightly travelled
I LOVED driving on the open roads at the maximum 100 k per hour (not 100 miles per hour) and passing slow moving vehicles
That's all for tonight. We've happily arrived in Franz Josef Glacier and have a big day planned for tomorrow. Our friends Tony and Carrie Cardan landed safely in Christchurch this afternoon. We'll meet up with them on Saturday evening in Christchurch. Cheers!
