Sat., March 5th .... back in Christchurch

We had a rainy 3 hour drive north to Greymouth, and even had time to visit the Pancake Rocks north of Greymouth ...

The almost 5 hour TranzAlpine Train from the west coast to the east coast was relaxing.  Dennis didn't have to drive and we celebrated with champagne!

The train was 1.5 hours late because a freight train derailed today!  I don't think anyone was hurt, and we were very grateful to be safe.

Amazing difference after traveling 10 miles through a mountain tunnel and arriving on the east side of the Alps .... clear and warm!

And now that we're back in Christchurch, we are ready to start Vacation Part Two with Tony and Carrie!

Here we go tomorrow!
