Wed., March 2nd ... Flying High!

And that means not only are we flying in New Zealand today, but so are Tony and Carrie (but Tuesday to them)  as they are en route to New Zealand.  So as things work out ... we are ALL flying today.

Another first for Dennis and me ... A FLOAT PLANE out of Lake Te Anau.  Another Bucket List item CHECKED OFF!

Can you believe we flew on a 1969 Cessna float plane?

A cloudy and stormy morning turned into an amazingly glorious day!

Our 1st beach landing... quite rocky and rough but so special.
Here were are ... in the Fiordland National Park, with NO ONE in sight.

We BOTH drank out of the 99.99% pure water from the stream and lake.
Bear Grylls .... WE ARE READY FOR YOU.

Can you believe these views?

Stormy, spooky & splendid

On the second landing, Adam took us to a sandy beach with an adjacent forest.
The forest floor was INCREDIBLY soft and spongy.
MIDDLE EARTH, for sure.

The artsy photographer in action

Pilot Adam, Dennis, Diana & Dani from Switzerland

We drove three hours to Wanaka and got settled for one night.

Another blessed day in New Zealand.
